Stuck with old guilders you can’t spend?

Many in Curaçao still have ANG paper notes and coins lying around — in drawers, jars, or wallets — with no idea what to do with them as we switch to the new XCG currency. Banks are phasing them out, and soon they’ll be worthless.

💡 But there’s a better way.
Rotary Club Curaçao together with Rotary Club Willemstad launched Cash for Care / Kèsh pa Kuido — a creative solution that turns your unused money into meaningful support for local charities.

🎨 Starting June 1, you’ll find donation columns across the island — in malls, banks, and hardware stores — made from repurposed gas cylinders and ready to receive your old guilders.

❤️ Don’t let your coins and notes go to waste — give them new life and help someone in need.

The donation columns are located at

  1. Centrum Mahaai
  2. Centrum Piscadera
  3. Home Plus Santa Maria
  4. Kooyman Zeelandia
  5. Kooyman Jan Noorduynweg
  6. RBC Rooi Catootje
  7. Sambil
  8. Van den Tweel Zeelandia

Soft Launch Cash for Care

Together with Rotary Club Willemstad, Rotary Club Curaçao, and 7.1 Giovanni Abath, we proudly unveiled the first three donation columns for old Curaçao money!💛

As Curaçao transitions from the ANG to the XCG, we’re offering our community a meaningful alternative: donate your old paper and coin guilders to support local charities. 💸➡️❤️
Each column, creatively designed by Giovanni Abath using repurposed Curgas gas cylinders, will soon appear across the island — starting June 1 — in malls, banks, hardware stores, and more.
Every donation counts. Let your old money create new opportunities.
