At Rotary Club of Curaçao, we believe that meaningful change starts with people coming together to make a difference.

Through financial contributions, hands-on community projects, and professional expertise, we support initiatives that strengthen our community and improve the lives of those who need it most.

Our commitment is simple: to support meaningful projects that create opportunities, improve lives, and contribute to a stronger Curaçao.

We welcome requests from organizations and individuals whose initiatives demonstrate a clear community need and the potential to make a lasting positive impact.

What We Support

Rotary's Seven Areas of Focus

As part of Rotary International, our community service efforts are guided by seven Areas of Focus. These represent Rotary's global commitment to addressing important humanitarian and community challenges.

At Rotary Club of Curaçao, we encourage projects that align with these areas and respond to the specific needs of our island.

1. Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention

Supporting initiatives that promote peace, mutual understanding, inclusion, conflict resolution, and stronger relationships within our community.

2. Disease Prevention and Treatment

Improving community health through disease prevention, health education, access to healthcare, and support for individuals and families affected by illness.

3. Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene

Promoting access to safe water, proper sanitation, hygiene education, and healthier living environments.

4. Maternal and Child Health

Supporting the health and well-being of mothers, infants, and children through healthcare, nutrition, education, and family support initiatives.

5. Basic Education and Literacy

Creating opportunities for children and adults to learn, develop essential skills, improve literacy, and gain access to quality education.

6. Community Economic Development

Empowering individuals and communities through vocational training, entrepreneurship, skills development, and initiatives that create sustainable economic opportunities.

7. Environment

Protecting our natural environment through conservation, sustainability, environmental education, and initiatives that preserve Curaçao's natural resources for future generations.

Our Donation Guidelines

We aim to ensure that every contribution creates meaningful value for our community.

When reviewing requests for financial support, we give priority to initiatives that:

• Address a clear community need and benefit individuals or groups facing social, economic, educational, or health-related challenges.

• Demonstrate a positive and measurable impact on the Curaçao community.

• Have clearly defined objectives, a realistic budget, and an achievable implementation plan.

• Are organized by credible individuals or organizations committed to serving the community.

• Encourage sustainable results and long-term community benefits whenever possible.

• Align with Rotary's values and Areas of Focus.

What We Generally Do Not Fund

As a general guideline, Rotary Club of Curaçao does not provide financial support for:

• Salaries, wages, or regular personnel expenses.

• General operating costs or recurring administrative expenses.

• Commercial or for-profit activities.

• Overseas travel or personal trips.

All requests are evaluated individually. Meeting these guidelines does not automatically guarantee approval, and contributions remain subject to the club's priorities and available resources.

Hands-On Community Projects

At Rotary Club of Curaçao, community service is about more than financial contributions.

Our members, together with family and friends, actively participate in projects that make a visible difference in our community.

Whether it involves painting, repairing, improving community facilities, organizing activities, or simply lending a helping hand, we believe that giving our time and energy can be just as valuable as financial support.

Professional Expertise & Mentorship

Our members represent a wide range of professions, industries, and backgrounds.

Through Vocational Service, we encourage members to share their knowledge, professional experience, and networks to support community organizations, mentor individuals, and help initiatives grow.

Where possible, we connect organizations with the expertise and resources needed to strengthen their impact.

Investing in the Next Generation

We believe that empowering young people is essential to building a stronger future.

Through Rotary's youth and leadership programs, including Interact, Rotaract, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA), and Rotary Youth Exchange, we encourage young people to develop leadership skills, embrace community service, and build meaningful connections.

These programs help inspire the next generation of leaders and changemakers.

International Partnerships

While our primary focus is on Curaçao, we also recognize the importance of international cooperation.

Through partnerships with Rotary clubs around the world, we participate in humanitarian initiatives that extend our impact beyond our island.

To help us evaluate your request, please provide:

• Community impact: Who will benefit and how the project will make a difference.

• Budget and funding: Estimated project costs, other funding sources, and the amount or type of support requested.
